New Photos Posted

Hi Guys, I have posted photos of ttwo of the quilts I have been working on. The first is what I call the Holiday HUG and is for my friend and her DH who has cancer. He's the one who has always worked as a fantastic every season for many years now. I also made him a new Christmas Vest to wear when he was being Santa. This quilt is made entirely from my stash and is 99% animals Christmas fabrics -- cats, dogs & teddies. I also included a red fabric with Santa & trains and a red/green/gold check. The second quilt is tha lap quilt for DD to give her best friend's DD as a graduation (from U of TX, San Marcos) gift. It, too is made entirely from my stash of green & purple fabrics. Fortunately, these are the girl's favourite colors so I had plenty of fabrics to choose. The {{{HUG Quilt}}} top for Lisa, my DNiece, is about2/3 finished. I have 6 more pp blocks to finish and add to the bottom of the quilt. Then one or two borders -- depending on size -- and I'll be ready to sandwich, pin baste and quilt. This is the quilt that has a bargello heart panel in the center made of all red, pink & white background cat fabrics. The pp blocks are hearts and the alternate with whole cloth blocks that are cat fabrics. Lisa loves kitties but is terribly allergic so I'll tell her this is my way of hugging her AND giving her some kitties to keep her warm and snuggly :-))). CiaoMeow >^;;^<

SANTA -- he has been a fantastic Santa for many, many years -- LOL. The bad part is that he might lose his nose and have to have a prosthetic one which means he won't be able to be Santa again :****[ CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Ah but he might indeed continue to be a fantastic Santa. Might need to do something funny like glue a blinky red light to the new nose - but little children of all ages are very accepting. A 4 year-old visitor here dragged her Mama to our living room with the demand, "Mama, come see this picture of Mr. Esther getting married before he hurt his nose". Back to your quilts album - I enjoyed the tour so much. Even loved your cat curtains, QI and the bare feet peeking from behind the quilt. I do get distracted. The quilts are wonderful! Polly

Who ever said Santa can't have a prosthetic nose? Anyway, great quilts and I love the rest of your quilts and all the pics of your QIs. It's great just cruising through othe people's webshots files. Fun to see all the beautiful quilts.

Umm...either I'm daft, or my computer isn't showing me your pictures. (It's even money. ;-) Are these quilts in the Hug quilt folder?
