NOT OT--I have my first paying client!!

YIPPEEE!!!!! I have my first paying client for a quilt!!! I saw her post on another forum. She wanted a quilt made for her husband to celebrate his 8 year anniversary in the Marine Corps. She is buying all the supplies, and sending them to me. She also wants to use his cammos and a pair of his dress uniform pants. We are working out payments, to be sent monthly. She is a substitute teacher, so they don't have a ton of disposable income, but we found a happy middle ground as far as price goes. One where I don't feel like I am doing it for free, and she can afford it. LOL I will be taking pictures along the way, and creating a Webshots album of it own. I will let y'all know how it is going from time to time.

Happy Dancing in the rain... Toni

Congratulations, Toni. I hope your business flourishes and you become one of those quilters that the rest of us rely on to make our tops spectacular. It was pretty nice of you to work out a payment schedule for her. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing that before. It does make quilts more accessible to those who are a little strapped for cash.

Keep us posted. I'll be looking for those pictures. Morag In Detroit
