Went with kiripet to buy her a new bed yesterday. There was an ad in the paper for one inexpensively so we went and looked at it. Ended up buying the thing. $75 dollars for a double bed, bookshelf frame, mattress, and boxsprings, in pristine condition. The previous owners were an elderly couple. We had to see her to take care of the money and chatted with them for a minute. She asked if kiripet was my mother. kiripet is 10 years my junior. Now that put a big old smile on my face! Better than getting proofed at the liquor store! However I did have to make an evening walk out by myself to get roses and chocolate. Then spend some time convincing kiripet that Mrs Bedseller needed new glasses, and no kiri did not need to cut her hair, do her make-up differently, or a thousand and one other fretful little things.
