OT-back after long absence, long

Hi!! Long time, huh? It's Toni, back after long time away. Things have not been good around here, but they are getting better.

We had some financial problems, and it caused us to fall into foreclosure. We worked with the mortgage company, but they wouldn't work with us. They had scheduled a sherriff's sale, too. We finally had to borrow from DH's parents to keep the house.

Because of all that, DH and I are on rocky ground. We are keeping things together for the girls. But, I have started seeing our pastor, who also is a friend, for counseling. We are trying to get DH to go, but he says he isn't ready.

We are also seeing a money counselor to help us set up a better budget and stay on track with everything.

Marlys--I have something for you, and will be sending it out next week. I should have sent it out a long time ago, but, because of all that you just read, I wasn't able to. I have wanted to keep in touch, too, but have been depressed because of it all.

On the quilty front, nothing has been done. My poor machine doesn't even recognize me, LOL I am starting a quilt, for Autumn's teacher. She has always wanted to do a quilt with her class, and we will be working on that this next month.

Welcome "home", Toni. It sounds like you are taking positive steps to turn things around with the credit counseling and seeing your pastor. Best wishes for all to work out well for you.

I understand completely, Toni. We are going thru the financial stuff but lucky for us, our marriage is not suffering.

{{{Hugs}}}} Tony Many of us have been there done - that. Circumstances are never identical, but we do empathize! Sometimes it just feels good to be able to say it to someone that is not involved, and doesn't make judgements. Wishing you well. Marilyn in Alberta, Canada
