OT: can't remember.....

if I updated y'all on the finger/hand status or not. Probably not, since I just went to the doc yesterday.

Anyway, he(not regular doc, she is still out on maternity leave), said finger looked fine and didn't see why it was splinted. Felt around my wrist, getting a couple of growls and evil glares form me, and decided that I have tendonitis and will probably have to deal with it for 4-6 weeks. He wants me to use a restrictive brace, but not one that is 100% restrictive. Said he wants me to be able to move my wrist a little bit so that the muscles don't atrophy, but not so much that it doesn't heal. Well, I wear it when I do things that actually require me to use both hands, and sometimes when it is acting up, but not when I'm sleeping or just sitting and reading. Yes, I will be wearing it when I am working on quilting or clothing, simply as a protective measure - less chance to do more damage.

So...that's what the deal is. At lesat nothing is broken, which is good, but to have to wear a dang brace for that long..sheesh!! Still, the last time anybody told me to wear a brace that long, it was for a knee injury and resulted in me having a year of PT b ecause of muscle weakness....not having to wear a brace full time is a good thing.

Okay, all done, thanks for the good thoughts and prayers, they are greatly appreciated.

Larisa, who will be ironing the BRIGHT baby quilt top tonight and trying to get it all put together...finally have a date - September
