OT- Evanovich

Since I know there are many Janet Evanovich fans here, thought I would un-lurk for a moment and tell you I cataloged her newest one Finger Linkin' Fifteen at my library the other day. Resisted the urge to dive in, as the street date is not until next Tuesday, but read the jacket and it sounds like great fun. Wanted to give everyone a heads- up so they can buy/reserve as desired.

One of my coworkers is going to downtown Chicago next week where Janet E. will be speaking and signing the book!

Oh my. I can't even imagine a book-signing by Evanovich. (Very few gators can read or write.) Please ask your friend to thank her for us. My Evanovich collection has saved many a 'climbing the walls with cabin fever' friends. They were recovering from assorted surgeries and the doctor wouldn't let them do anything. What a delightful escape Grandma Mazur was for them. It hurts to laugh when you have stitches but they all survived. Polly

At the family picnic last weekend I was asking my favorite cousin if she read the Evanovich books. She reads a lot and I expected she had probably read these books. I was really surprised to hear one of my sisters say she was reading them too. She is sort of the wild one that never much read as a kid. It was kind of fun for us 3 to share something so silly as these books. There are not a lot of parts of our lives we can laugh and share with each other these days. I hope Evanovich knows how much joy she has brought us with her work. Taria

Ah, thanks for the headsup---I just requested it at my local library.

I'm hold request #682 for the regular print edition; there are also 156 hold requests for the CD and 247 requests for the large print edition. :)

Obviously it will be a while, but it's not as grim as it sounds; we're looking at the entirety of the Indianapolis/Marion County library, so it's not just one copy circulating among 682 people....fortunately!

A month ago there were already 14 reserves on the book. I didn't bother to add my name. I will read it sometime this winter. I like the books but do with she would clean-up the language a little.

------------------------------------- Lynne Love Evanovich! But I do all my books on audio so it may take awhile. I either download from Audible.com or Library website. That way I can attach my MP3 and go forth to quilt, housework or yardwork. Sometimes I feel like a have a permanent headphone earbud! At least my hubby thinks so. He's come up with some creative hand gestures to get my attention!
