OT: Frustrated S.E.X.

It's been a really bad month. I've been overwhelmed with too many responsibilities, too little time, and no relaxation for myself.

So, I decided to take out a bit of that frustration on fabric collection. A good Stash Enhancement eXperience has been known to work at lightening my mood (I don't need jewelry or fancy clothing, but I like to buy fabric!)

I had an email coupon from Keepsake Quilting. Good for an ONLINE order and it was going to expire this weekend. So I budgeted a quite generous amount and went to town. Built up my shopping cart -- adding florals and die cuts and things I rarely splurge on.

Sat down over the weekend and tried to place the order. Never mind the coupon which was not accepted... the website would not work. Seems if you want ALL the stuff shipped to a different address than your billing address, the order site glitches. It was too late to call, and so I left the computer feeling frustrated and stupid and figured I would forget the bloomin coupon and just call during the day.

Today, I just can't do anything right. I had to make a choice between a doctor's appointment and my hair appt. I had to break my doctor's appt last week in order to take my daughter to HER doctor for a very sore throat (to make matters worse, they kept me waiting for an 8:30- AM appt - and the doctor never even LOOKED at her throat... or gave a strep test, just gave a prescription. When I said I didn't want her to take antibiotics if it was not strep, he looked at me as if I had sprouted wings, said 'I'll take a culture if it makes you feel better", scratched the roof of her mouth, and left. Total visit --25 mins waiting, 2 mins doctor). I had to break my hair appt in April because the business accountant needed me the same day. Since I get my hair cut every 6-8 weeks, this means I have 3 months of gray right now. I am NOT feeling myself. (Oh, and they couldn't even BOOK my next appointment. The woman I've gone to for over a decade is the owner, and overbooked, and so it will be weeks before I can get in).

I was feeling really down, so I went right back to thinking of treating myself, and I CALLED IN the order to Keepsake Quilting. The woman found my customer number and address, and asked... will this be discover, mc, or visa?

And that's when I found out that I had misplaced my charge cards.

I took them OUT of my bag and to the computer over the weekend to charge the online order. Keepsake Quilting has the number 'remembered' in the online system.. but I can't make an order online.. and the phone folks need the number to take it over the phone.

Sigh......

I know I will find them in the house somewhere.... but right now I just feel like a kid whose ice cream fell into the street.

Dang, Lisa ....... when you can't even splurge on fabric it's a hard day.

You have my sympathy and empathy and all my good wishes that you find your cards, get your fabric, cut your hair and have healthy kids. :-)

Thanks!

I found the charge cards... and I also got a call from the salon. They can fit me in tomorrow if I am willing to try a new hair person. Oh, and do I want any extra services?

Hmmmmmm

Fabric or facial?

I think you deserve both the fabric AND the facial!!!!!

Hope you finally get some "me" time!

What you need right now is a big bowl of Hagen Daz Crème Brule (sp?) ice cream. It's the best comfort I can think of, other than chocolate or rum.......
