OT: good thoughts would be nice

I have to take my darling girl in for allergy testing this morning. She was supposed to have 2 separate days of the testing, just like my boy did, but because she is so tiny, the doc decided to just test her for the most common allergens and to do it on one day - today. Bek is afraid that she is going to get needles because she knows that's what happens to me when I go to the doctor. I've told her that there won't be needles, but it might sting a little bit. We are planning on taking a little shopping trip after the doc appt so that she gets a little treat for having to go through this (I'm a sucker, I know).

So, at 10EST, if you could send good thoughts towards the east coast of the US, I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh, and hubby is home sick today, so I'm not expecting to have a pleasant day around here

Well, after she nearly shattered the eardrums of both the doctor and me, DD settled right down. They tested her for the main allergens, and the foods that Thomas is allergic to. She turned out to only be allergic to ragweed!!! WooHoo!!!!! She doesn't need an EpiPenJr, which is a good thing....now we just wait 4 more years for DS to get re-tested for his allergies, and with any luck, he will have outgrown them.

nose, and eyes, and chest when you end up coughing, and head and....well, for me, both arms since I got shots once a week....and of course, the back when you have the dang testing!!

She's still playing, and I doubt I'll ever get rid of the ragweed, and they didn't say anything baout her starting shots. Dad is allergic to ragweed as well, so I suppose this is one thing we will all deal with forever.

It sucks that DS can't have eggs or anything with eggs in it until he gets re-tested....but good thing that I have an egg-free cake recipe!! lol
