Every afternoon, my wife heads down to the basement at 4 o'clock to watch The Ellen DeGeneres Show, on TV, and work out on her treadmill, for 1 hour. She just loves it and hates to miss it. I say if you find something that helps you get a good workout, then so much the better. It will only benefit you, in the long run. You go girl!

Oh Taria!! I have the 'big baby' plugged into a surge surpressor!! I got this one after I wore out me old one. ( still worked) It has been passed on to a Freecycler. Glad your DH is recovering. Tell him to keep up the good work!

Nana, for a similar amount of money, you could have gotten a Yorkie. You would not need a surge protector. You would never, ever put off exercise time. You could do 20 minutes of 'pulling' (Nobody thinks walking a Yorkie is walking) once or twice every day and weather would be inconsequential. In addition, better than a treadmill, a Yorkie will alert you if a leaf falls. No need for a burglar alarm, unless, of course, the burglars are carrying puppy biscuits. On the other hand, you don't have to carry a treadmill to the hair stylist. There is that. Polly

OT, but I always feel so sorry for those poor little pups - the small ones like Yorkies, Pugs, Chihuahuas ... those tiny little legs moving at ten times the speed of their human friends.

OTOH, Buddy, our QI, is a rambunctious Black Lab mix ... and takes *US* for a run. Last week, he managed to pull my 13 yo DD so hard into a run that she ended up with two scabbed knees and a road-rashed elbow.

But, but, but........a little Yorkie won't sit patiently in a corner for years while you pile clothes on it ;)

Clothes on MY treadmill?? Not allowed. I use it every day!! So I can't be 'slowed down' by stopping to remove clothes! And this one is really nice, it gets folded up when I'm finished walking.

Polly your post brought a smile as I have a little doggie (not a Yorkie) and a walk outside is the biggest thing in her life, next to those doggie cookies of course.

Thank you, Irene. Going for a 'pull' is a big event here. Yogi didn't read the book on Yorkies. They're supposed to be adorable lap dogs that pose for fashion pictures. Ha. He wants to go tracking and snuffling. If you ever take the notion, our Pat in Seattle of 'Murphy's Paw' has a gloriously wonderful to-die-for recipe for puppy biscuits. She might share with you. Yeah, and I almost fought the dogs for those doggie biscuits/cookies that Patti in Seattle made- they smell and look really yummy and have healthful, wholesome ingredients for the pupper dogs.... She sells them on her website, I think???
