OT? Karen won! And LOTS of photos!

Our Karen, Queen of Squishies won the contest to design the Spunky Lady logo! Congrats to Karen! I am thrilled with what she made for my logo. You can see it by clicking on my website addy below in my siggy. There's nothing else on the website, but the logo is the important part!

Karen chose the Spunky Lady Organizer bag called Sunny Sunflowers for her 'prize' in the logo contest. You can see it and ten other bags that I've made- ALL the bags are quilted BTW- at

I bought a scanner last night, so Friday I will have the directions for making my bags available to all of you. It's NON-copyrighted and you can make as many as you want to make and sell them and give them away and anything else you want to use the patterns for. HA! Lazy Girl eat your heart out! LOL

That's a great logo! Much better then a Maxine type! Your bags are getting better and better! Don't forget to get up and walk around for a while! You may become frozen in your sewing position. Oh, I forgot. I bet your furbabies won't let you become inert! Good for them....and good for you too! This has been so much fun to watch. 3 t-shirts done......too many to go. I keep tweaking my designs in my embroidery program rather than just stitching them out. Good thing these are just extras to sell at the convention. No pictures....dh took my digital camera to a meeting in Vancouver.

Definitely not OT! Congrats to Karen - its just right.

And the bags are all gorgeous - I don't know which I would have chosen if I'd been clever enough to enter! I love them all. I like the way each bag has its own personality.

Good luck with your new venture - see you on the catwalk!

Love the logo Leslie - great job Karen! What a team you guys make! I fell in love with the Sunny Sunflowers bag too. They are all great, but I'm making a 4-Patch Stacked Posey out of a Sunflower print at the moment, so they are dear to my heart. I can't wait till the church sale & to hear how your bags flew off the table, with orders coming in for more:) Do you think you might sell them on EBay? Just a thought - although a word of caution - a friend of mine makes bags out of Japanese kimono fabric. They always do well at art shows & craft fairs. She put them on EBay & didn't sell even one? Maybe they don't show well on EBay.

Thanks for making your patterns available to us too Leslie. You've got a generous spirit.

Fantastic work - both the logo and the bags! We're lucky to have so much talent in this newsgroup. I'm waiting patiently for the patterns!

Kathyl-

Yeah. Karen figgered out what I needed and what I really wanted! I'm glad she went in the direction of a younger, carefree looking gal. The cat and dog have a specific purpose in the logo- by my request- more about that later.

Good luck with getting those T-shirts done. You've mentioned it several times. VBG I don't like repetitive work so I can sympathize with your putting it off and working on the design. That's sooooo much more interesting! I'd love to see what you are up to with them- hope you can post some pics for us- soon.

PS: Missy took a bit of a downhill slide last night. I hope this set-back is temporary.... my poor darling girl.

Leslie, I didn't, of course, see the other logos, but I think Karen's is a great choice! Congratulations, Karen! :) Your bags are great, Leslie! :)

All fingers crossed and good thoughts for you and Missy to have peaceful and comfortable days. However many there are, I hope for good ones.

I didn't even consider that there wouldn't be some critters in your logo! Seemed perfectly logical to me! I bet you are getting to be a machine quilting expert by now. That's a great size on which to work on your quilting control and design, without having to wrestle with a bulky quilt top. It's great to see your variety of fabrics and bag designs. You are very talented!!!! I treasure my postcards from our swap a few years ago!

Sure! I'm sharing the patterns with all my friends in the greatest quilting group in the world! Actually, I am going to write up- with photos- how to do the organizer handbag. It's my main one and the others are just different sizes. You'll need to rework the dimensions if you want larger (I doubt it!) or smaller bags. But the hard part is going to be all done for you. Watch for it Friday! I'm too busy sewing to do it now and I want all the weekend readers and lurkers to have a chance at it.
