OT: Mad aunts

Every family has one. In some ways I AM one!

But I also have one...

In this time of trouble, mine has gone swanning off to *KENYA* - to Nairobi in fact - for a holiday with her hubby! OK, they lived there for over 30 years, and they have gone to stay with friends still out there, but still... My mum is worried about her little sister (the woman is in her late sixties, but you know what Big Sisters are like!), and so, frankly, am I, for mum's sake as much as anything.

Please keep my aunt and uncle in your thoughts, and wish them home safely for me! Their own offspring are scattered to Singapore, New Zealand and Essex, so things would be a logistical nightmare if anything went wrong, quite apart from the anguish we would all feel.

Probably depends on where in Kenya -it's a big place! Some people I knew, a woman and her middle-aged daughter, left their home in a Nairobi suburb a few years ago and moved to Mexico (apparently an equally inexpensive place to live) because of the political unrest. After about 2 years in Mexico, they moved back. They just missed it too much! Roberta in D
