Only going to be on for a few minutes today... I have some things to try to do that I didn't get done on the weekend due to not having any energy at all. So while I still have some energy this morning, I am going to try to do those things before it all overwhelms me again.
First of all... thank you everyone who sent Matthew and myself Christmas greetings... everything was *very much* appreciated and came as a lovely surprise. I won't get into naming names, but you all know who you are! *hugs* for all of you! :o)
Christmas Eve afternoon Matthew went to his girlfriend's parents' home. He was home with me later Christmas Eve (although due to me not feeling well, things didn't go well) and on Christmas Day. We had our feast about 12:30 to 1:30 PM... good thing we didn't have it for supper, because I was talking with my cousin on the portable phone about 6 PM when all the electricity in town went out... she called me back and we continued our talk on the regular phone... but the hydro stayed off until about 9 PM. I felt bad for anyone hoping to have their Christmas feast at suppertime. My oldest sister called about an hour after my cousin got off the phone and we had a nice catch-up talk.
Matthew bought me 3 CDs I really wanted... one was Bo Bice from the last American Idol show, one was "Hedley" with Jacob Hoggart from the last Canadian Idol show, and the third one was Kalan Porter the winner of the second last Canadian Idol show. He also bought me a large tin box that has ten jigsaw puzzles of animals in it. Should keep me out of trouble for a while! ;o)
I got Matthew a fleece lined "Lumberjack" jacket with quilting inside the sleeves, a t-shirt with upside down words on it that reads "If you can read this, please put me back on my bar stool" just because we both have a warped sense of humor... because he rarely even drinks anything... and a Wrestling game. Turned out, after paying some bills before Christmas, I actually had a little extra money in my bank account that I could use to buy Matthew a couple of things afterall.
Now that Christmas is over of course... it's time to panic about bills again. *sigh* Actually, I am trying really hard NOT to panic or stress too much considering my blood pressure. Either today after catching up on some other things I didn't get to do on the weekend (or tomorrow, if I run out of energy today), I am going to take the time to write to everyone we owe money to and explain the entire situation, and give them an estimate as to *when* we think we can be caught up... and hope for the best that the letters will calm them down about things.
