Oh, yeah! Das Boot has been 'planted' (Pix as soon as my new compie is set up) Had a WONDERFUL check-up ......foot is totally healed. Now the rest of the slow healing process will go on for the rest of the year, but I can 'pot the boot', yet keep it around so the L foot won't get any more ideas. ONE more x-ray in weeks.....if it is still improving--walking more, shoe on longer, then we will seriously talk of doing the right one. I'm looking forward to getting it behind me. It does need doing and now is the time to do it. It still 'tires' and have to 'rest' it--found out that I need to 'rest' in the middle of walking--ie, 3 hours on, an hour or so off (elevated wouldn't hurt), then put the shoe back on, instead of 5 hours on like I was doing. Keeps the swelling down...maybe even prevent it.
Made it thru the tunnel with all of your help ; )
Now DD: she can work up to 100% weight Foot needs alot more healing and she has to completely stop if it hurts or starts to swell and try again later. Not sure how long it will take to finish healing..and must keep the PT going. Anyway, the infection is TOTALLY GONE!!!!! She is still under their watchful eyes and will have steady check-ups for a while.
So, we will have a Happier Easter than anticipated.
Thank you Butterfly (Face 'hurts' from grinning so much )
