OT request

My grandson has ADHD and recently became very interested in maps and geography. I am hoping quilters will send him picture postcards from their home area. Will is in 2nd grade. If you are willing to send him a postcard, email me for his address. Thanks.

will have to ferret out the info but there is lots there. DD is a geographer/cartographer/GIS 'person'. DS really enjoyed maps too. Heactually got put on 'map restriction' when he was in grade school. Heloved those maps! Check out National Geographic and their geography bee. If he starts reading and learning now he will be ready to winthat by junior high.Taria

This is a great site if he wants to learn states & capitals... where all the states are.... and then he can move on to the world!!! There are several different levels... so great for younger children... as well as those a little older!

I did the level four capitals in 207 seconds... with no errors... not sure if that is fast or not! LOL

Good for you, Kate. I can't even remember the difference in capital and capitol. And, wishing to help Mary, but we don't do postcards here yet. Nobody wants to see what the Katrina area looks like. Yesterday, an old friend came by and said he couldn't believe how much hadn't been done. We assured him that he had just NO idea how much HAD been done. We'll take pretty pictures for postcards one day. It will just be a while yet. Polly
