OT Surprise Chicago

Hi All, I've just had the most wonderful weekend, a surprise early wedding ann.trip to London!(35 years on 20th) DH told me to take something smart and we booked in to an hotel in South Kensington.Took the tube to Covent Garden where he had booked us a table for a gorgeous meal and then a short walk to The Adephi Theatre for "Chicago"It was so hot in London and we settled down to watch the show and after a while my eyes wouldnt stay open so I thought I'd listen for a moment!!Anyone else do this?It was a brilliant production though and I dont think I missed too much.It is amazing as DH has never done anything remotely romantic in 35 years, and they say you cant teach an old dog new tricks!! How lovely Estelle - glad you had such a nice time!

And its surprising how much more things can be enjoyed with just your ears - gives your imagination something to play with!

What a huge treat! And I must add congratulations for sticking to your marriage to an unromantic for 35 yrs! That's tough!

I dunno. If he is really, really romantic, wouldn't that make you wonder whom he has been practicing on? It will be our 38th this September, and I plan to keep him.

Nell, still in love
