OT: time to ask for prayers

Well I think you get a triple damn Sunny. I can't even begin to imagine and the words just escape me.

Everything is crossed that I can manage at the moment (kinda hard to sew that way, but I'll figure it out), good thoughts, prayers and most definitely ((((((((((((Sunny))))))))))) (((((((((Hubby))))))))))))))).

We've hit a bump. Okay, more like a massive landslide of granite that's fallen onto the roadway and blocked it completely. If I don't come up with a miracle, we're in a situation that will leave us financially crippled and forever tied to a house that can't ever be sold because it has no functioning waste water system. So I'm asking RCTQ to do 'our thing' and bring on the prayer/good stuff in big amounts. I am feeling just a little desperate right now, having believed we were on the road to fixing our problem and now finding that we may have an unfixable problem with getting financing.

Thanks, friends and dear sisters/brothers in cloth. I believe in the power of prayer and good thoughts and mostly, the power of friendship and love. And I thank you all for being the kind of people that I can ask for help in this way.

Hugs, Sunny

Is it possible that homeowner's insurance will pay for at least some of the mess? What an awful situation. Gen

Prayers on their way...

How are you managing the day-to-day? Hopefully still not running up to the local gas station or fast food joint!

That's such a good question, Gen. I've been wondering if homeowner's insurance might be of any help too. It probably would have limits but Sunny needs all the help she can get. Polly

Thank you so much for the support. It feels good. Homeowners won't touch any part of this. If during the construction work a backhoe accidentally hits a window and breaks it out, that would come under homeowners insurance. If my dog bites the engineer, homeowners will cover that. But the collapse of a drainfield because of normal lifetime wear and tear so to speak is outside the range of homeowners.

I highly recommend that each one of you makes yourself very aware of what homeowners will and won't cover. Likewise any other insurance you think might kick in when emergencies arise. You'd be surprised at the limits. Believe me, we have explored absolutely every avenue. I'm so frustrated with hearing "No". But life goes on. I think I would go crazy if I couldn't come downstairs and read about people finishing quilts and handle my stash a bit.

What caused the slide? if it was the way the people digging did the work, they should cover it. After all, they should have done a proper survey and managed the contract according to the ground they knew they needed to dig.

Prayers and good wishes on the way for a speedy and proper solution.
