OT: why is it that....

Why is it that when you buy 2 pairs of shoes, in a once in a blue moon kinda way (haven't bought new shoes for nearly a year!), the bills for other more important stuff turns up the next day?

Why is it that when you know you have an expensive month coming up, the car needs 4 new tyres?

Why is it when the garage check the car, whilst having the tyres done, that they want it back next week (new distributor, cam-belt, etc...)and it is going to cost another load of money?

Why is is that the vets have sent a reminder for 2 of our QIs jabs to be done before the end of the month?

Why is it that we paid by installments at school for DD to go on a trip to Italy, that they still haven't banked the checks from March and April , so are sure to go out this month as well?

Why is it that we know that we have to pay the tax for the new house this month, that all these things turn up and it is only the 3rd June?

Aaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......................

Why, oh why..........

Never mind the freezer needs eating down before we move and so does the kitchen, it is just a bit annoying that's all. I'm sure DH thinks that it is all my fault and the shoes were less than 50 euro for 2 pairs, but way heavier in guilt!!!!

I was thinking "when it rains, it pours"......but I like your theory better Roberta. And thanks for posting this Janner.....it makes my Debt Magnetism list look puny. This, too, shall pass.

I've BTDT, probably will again. Only thing I can say is don't forget to breathe. Time passes, deadlines come and go, bills get paid sooner or later. You will (sooner than it feels now) pop out on the other side of all these things and the sun will still be shining and fabric will still be calling to you from the LQS. Also shoes from the LSS. (Little Shoe Shop) I don't know why things seem to happen all at once, why we get knocked down and kicked while we're on the ground. Guess it's just that Elbert Hubbard quote Doc Smith gave us.

Anyway, we still love you, even if you're broke. Come here and we'll all tell you that you're wonderful and that your bill collectors are morally bereft, socially deranged individuals.

Hugs, Sunny

Chaos Theory?

Thanks for making me smile....

I know that once moved we should be able to live more cheaply, because we can insulate the new house, regulate the boiler thermostat and we will have a fruit and veg garden. It is just this damn bit before we get there! Our rented house is very uneconomic to run, cold and damp in winter which takes all the summer to dry out! Boy, am I fed up with black mould and that smell you get with it. We have those chemical driers in each room, meant to last a month, usually last about 6 weeks.

Have sat down with calculator and pen and worked it all out. The biggest problem is, I've somehow managed to save a bit towards this move and now I don't want to spend it! Also, the car was an additional that I hadn't foreseen....LIFE!!!

I like the Chaos theory.
