OT - Winston Update

Hi all,

I took Winston to the vet today for bandage change and assesment - they are very happy with his progress and maybe, jut maybe, his bandages will come off next Tuesday when he is examined by the Vet who did the operation. He was able to put very slight pressure on his leg and the swelling has finally gone down, and there is no infection. So thank you for your prayers and healing thoughts.

He and Indy got out again this morning and were sunbaking on the front verandah with my ginger cat, MontyMan, who just loves the dogs. It won't happen a third time because the gate now has a padlock on it so OH will have to go through the front door to go out. I was so relieved they didn't wander as we don't have a front fence. It seems my OH forgot to shut the side gate after going to work this morning.

Hi Di, It's wonderful to hear Winston's doing so well. Jack sends him warm wishes. Speaking of Jack, he's doing well. He's been off the painkillers for

10 days and the steroids for 7 days and there's no sign of any pain. He's been playing inside and wanting to play in the snow, but I won't let him. It is nice to know that he feels good enough that he wants to do those things. I'm worried about letting him do much, afraid that the pain will return. Thanks for everyones's good thoughts and prayers. Please continue them if you can. Thanks!!!

Jill, I am so happy for Jack - it is awful to see and hear them in pain. Continued prayers and healing thoughts. Woof woof from Winston and Indy.

Di Where it's going to be 37C = 98.6F - Please send some snow to cool us down.

Glad to hear that the various pooches are doing well. Di you are more than welcome to our snow, it has been hovering just around freezing so the snow melts enough to then freeze and leave an icy layer on roads and pavements(sidewalks). I am not looking forward to driving in the morning.
