Hi All, I have been reading but not posting much lately. My Mom hasn't been doing to well. Her blood glucose was over 800 when the she arrived in the ER, it has stabilized but damage has been done. Her A1C was 15, needless to say she hadn't been getting her insulin for quite some time. On Friday she was tranferred to a nursing home in Central PA, yesterday I got a chance to visit her. I took her some things to help brighten her room. A quilt, some family photos and floral arrangements for her door and wall. Mom has rallied some but she'll ever return home. Bonnie NJ

This is so hard to take, Bonnie. Hopefully you'll feel better once your Mom has settled down. . In message , Bonnie NJ writes

Hugs and positive healing thoughts on their way for your Mom and your family. It's hard on the whole family when a parent becomes disabled, and diabetes is such a disabling disease in so many ways.
