Photos?

It is conceivable that I have succeed in uploading two photographs to Picassa.

The first is the Welsh-style mini-quilt that I have finished.

The second is my infamous taffeta-and-satin quilt top, a very dark-toned quilt top spread out on a white floor. The photo is awful so I'll try to explain it. The patchwork is taffeta Shoo-Fly and the borders are black satin. The patchwork area is tailored to the bed (more or less) (or would be if it was lying on a bed) so the black satin border drapes nicely (as I hope it will continue to do when I have quilted it). You can kind of see the pink flowers on a black background in this photo, but it is impossible to discern the flocked red flowers on the purple background. It's really very pretty, if I do say so myself, though it looks like a mud puddle in this photo.

I hope I managed to upload these photos and I hope you can see *something* in them.

Wow, aren't you proud of your first two quilts???? Great job and it's sure fun to see them. What's next on your list of 'to do' patterns? Thank you so much for sharing your talent. Donna

Good job. I know how hard it is to work with taffeta and satin - I just gave up in the end. Well done on the photos too. The mini quilt is great, well done.

You did it!!! Well done.

Such interesting projects - amazing to do something so slippery for an 'early' piece. As I live just 15 miles from the Welsh border, I recognised the style of the first one >gexplain it. The patchwork is taffeta Shoo-Fly and the borders are black

I didn't think of that! That should improve how the border drapes over the edge of the bed, with the patchwork tailored to the top of the mattress. Thanks Roberta!

I'm going to try to get some pictures of my other needlework posted soon. Now, there's something I'm actually good at! Sometimes. :-)

Woo-hoo! Photos!

Your Welsh style mini is so striking with the red, black, and white. Great job!

While yes, the taffeta-satin quilt pics are a little...um...bad ;-) now at least we have an idea of what you're are talking about. I really love your choice of colors on both quilts.

Best regards, Michelle in Nevada

These encouraging remarks are a very good reason to continue to post pictures!

These two projects are favorite colors. I thought my color tastes were unremarkable until I started looking at other people's quilts here at RCTQ, and realized how many different and beautiful aesthetic choices there are, and that my color choices are, in fact, special to me and sometimes shared by others.
