I also monitor the Nat'l Data Buoy Center. I used to work on those things. If it hadn't been for watching the buoy information I wouldn't have had the info on Katrina. When I saw the waves were reaching 20 feet that's when I got out.

If Claudia stays on track, you will be on the western side of the storm.

Since there are no battery operated DTV's yet, I bought a weather radio by Midland. They are carried at Walgreen's. This thing really works well.

Thanks for the link! On the west side of a small storm like Claudia, I think of it as a much-needed pruning of the less sturdy branches on our pecan trees, which makes the big limbs less likely to break if a big storm does come along later. I welcome a light blow early in the season.

Well, maybe it doesn't make sense, but, hey, it's good to look on the brighter side of things, right? :-D
