Someone at guild mentioned that fabric and tools will be collected at the Rosemont show in April to be sent to Australian quilters who have lost everything. I have at least thirty-six 12" blocks left from a block swap. I thought I would put them together to donate at the show but was wondering about a typical size. Any advice on what is practical? For my own throw type quilts I like 55" by 72". Would that fit a single bed?
An American military wife is also collecting blocks to make into quilts while she is living in Australia. She plans to make her quilts
60" by 60". Is that a typical size?
If time gets short I will just have to send the squares but thought a finished quilt would be better.
