Quilting on the Long Arm

I'm posting this very very early Wednesday morning or maybe it's late Tuesday night. I finished my first queen sized quilt. I hope it's my last. And it's for my bed. Anyway, it's not great ..... sort of got a wonky place here or there. I was really careful with borders and measuring through the middle, but something went slightly awry.

So I could use all the good quilting vibes you guys can send Wednesday morning (you're probably reading this on Wednesday) cuz i'll be down battling with the Gammill at the LQS. The quilt is massive and I'm not sold on it being attractive at all and I had a hard time piecing enough backing to go with the long arm requirements.

Anyway, good vibes would be appreciated.

Hugs, Sunny

Hi Sunny,

You're quilt is most probably lovely. You can't tell that because you are standing too close :-)

I'm a bit concerned about your intending to "battle" the Gammill. They don't like that. They are really very lovable creatures when you get to know them but they do need some TLC. Relax and enjoy the experience. Just keep your finger near the "stop" switch so you can take a second to breathe every now and then. Trust me when I tell you that blinking and breathing are easily forgotten when concentrating too hard. (Do what I say; not what I do :-| ). Have fun with it!

Good vibes on the way! This sounds exactly the way I felt on finishing my

1st really big quilt! Made me smile, because I also swore I'd never do another big one. Roberta in D

They are also very heavy and usually win. I particularly don't recommend hitting them. ;-)
