Today I made 48 blocks for a lap quilt for my grandmother!!! Yes, TODAY!!!! I'm so proud! You can see it here.
I ran out of off white so I cut up some cotton napkins I had bought in Burano, Italy. They have little appliqued flowers.... I just couldn't wait until tuesday to buy more fabric.... ;o)

I am new here but just had to comment on your quilt. It is lovely! I love the fresh, clean look of the white with scrappy squares. How large are your blocks? Very nice.........love scrap quilts! Elaine in IL

Depends how big your Grandma's lap is I guess ;)
I think the flowers give some texture and interest to the white squares.

These were dinner sized napkins that I cut into four 6" squares, one with the flowers so I have 8 flower squares & I was able to make the quilt big enough.
Now, I have 8 luncheon sized napkins, white with pink flowers... (these are off white with blue flowers)..... Hum, What can I do with those??? ;o)

The 48 blocks I made consist of one 6" off white center with one side of 3
- 2" sqares on one side & 4 -2" squares on the other. So when I put everything together I'll need to add sqares to the extreme right column & bottom row... So, to make a short story long, :o) each block is 8"...
