What I made today!

Yes. Of course! She's not so big so I think the quilt is big enough. It fits the top of the queen(ish) size bed (w/ no over hang).

Unfortunately, I don't think so! I've just finished sewing all the blocks into rows. Later on tonight I will start sewing the rows together. Now we begin to see how wonky it is!! My quilts are always a bit wonky, no matter how well I measure, re measure & square up!!

This is basically because I'm not very good at keeping the same size seam allowance... Anyway, its still cute, even if wonky!! :o) I have to practice, practice, practice!

Tomorrow I have to buy the batting as I don't have a big enough peice.... Then I hope to have it done by Wednesday (fingers crossed) as I'm only going to do some light quilting on it. Something in the middle of the white blocks & I'm thinking of putting button "tacks" in the four corners of each white block....

Thank you all so much for the nice words on the scrappy quilt for my grandmother!!! I'm quite proud even if it is a bit wonky! I think wonky might end up being my design signature! ;o) I'll keep you all updated... cuz you're all very good for my self esteem & motivation! :o)

After I saw it I knew it was the perfect use for them. You are lucky you had that many of the same color. I think I have two sets of fancy fabric napkins, but there are only four napkins per set

Lots of possibilities for those. Baby quilt for a girl baby, lap or afghan size quilt to use when you watch TV, quilted Christmas tree skirt, quilted table runner and place mat set. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Fantastic! I love the odd flowers! (You could echo the flower shapes in the quilting...) Roberta in D

Thanks Roberta! I did try to quilt some flowers but lack of practice and looming deadlines made it necessary to do a simple SITD with buttons in the middle... It looks cute. I'm working on another small quilt and that has no time line so I will be more ambitious! :o)
