quilty progress :)

Been really busy sewing this last week....started the cutting just last Monday, plus the day job cuts into sewing time so I'm happy with my progress. Have half of the blocks needed for my weaver fever quilt and I've layed out the blocks and have posted them.....last 2 pics in the More Quilts album. Take a peek if you have time.

what a gorgeous guild that will be! better keep that under lock and key -- cuz I know I for one would love to sneak in ... and sneak out with it in hand! What size are the little blocks... Is this strip pieced? Looks like it would be challenging to keep everything in order! But well worth it!

Yes, cutting takes a while but it's too hot for me so it's been an inside week anyway.

Thanks Kate. DH thinks it is gorgeous too so if I'm not home he will be here guarding over it !!! the blocks are 12" finished. I got a little off on the first couple of rows but I can fudge them to fit and match up. And yes it's strip pieced and all like rows are pinned together and numbered. Many of my early quilts were strip pieced and I learned early to keep things numbered and grouped.

It's Weaver Fever by Jackie Robinson. There are instructions for three-ver, four-ver and five-ver with the pattern...........I'm using 4 colours each so mine is the four-version.

Thanks Pat From the start of cutting the strips, every piece is grouped properly and labeled. Once the strip sets are sewn, I slice the rows from the strip sets, and before I pick up a different strip set, the rows are pinned together and labeled which row they are. Just the way I am, make sure it's in order and labeled. I took a class once and the instructor said I was a "concrete sequential" person. Not sure if that's good or bad :)
