Quilty shopping

Recently I attended a "Wacky Wednesday" at a nearby sewing machine store....they demonstrate new items on those days. While there, I signed up for a door prize......and won!! My prize was 75% off of any non-sale items up to $75! So, today I went in and spent my "free" money! Since they don't carry my machine or parts for it, that was out of the question. Since I don't do machine embroidery, all those related items were a no go. I ended up buying a multi-color chalk marking pen, some Swiss iron cleaner and lots and lots of needles and thread! I can now keep busy "playing" for a long time!

Then I headed to my favorite sewing machine repair shop to buy a replacement zipper foot for the one I lost. They weren't sure of the price, so asked me if $5.99 sounded OK? They also threw in a pre-wound bobbin for me to try. All in all, a rewarding morning!

i just love those kind of days! Glad you had a good one!

congrats on your winning!
