RCTQ BOM 2007

Hi all, after discussion in a previous post I've volunteered myself to post the BOM for anyone who is doing it. I sincerely hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes and hope I'm not offending anyone. If and when Jessamy would like to take over the reigns I'll happily pass them over. Meanwhile to catch up todate I'll be posting new blocks once a week (just to catch up) Just so I know I'm not posting into cyber space I'd like very much if folk would let me know if they are doing them. So with this in mind I'd like to add a dead line challenge for each week until we catch up. Soooo if you complete the weekly challenges could you email me and I will list you all to congratulate you all each week... (I hope I'm making sense) This sounds bullying but infact I've found it a good incentive to actually get the blocks made. (The only way I'm managing to complete my Dear Jane bocks at the moment is with their weekly challenge) So what do you think? Please let me know.

Meanwhile the first block for August is :-

Here's an appliqu=E9 one. I had difficulty finding one on line so had to go to my EQ5. I don't know if I'm allowed to do this so for next week I'll have to try to design something. I see Jessamy used templates from EQ5 to design her ones so I'll give it a go... meanwhile I don't know if this will work but I've posted the templates for a s Sunflower block on my Yahoo blog page here is the link :

I tried getting one of them off and printing it and it printed out okay. If you have any trouble and would like to do this applique please email me and I can email you the jpg files.

I don't know if it's just me, or what, but when I click on this link I get a photo of quilt blocks with a heart in the center. Your description says sunflower, so I don't think I'm getting what you meant for me to get.

I also looked at the rabbit, and it's adorable, but way bey>Here's an appliqué one. I had difficulty finding one on line so had

Good for you, Elly! I'd like to join and definitely need a kick in a sensitive place, because I haven't started any of the blocks for 2007! Life happens (sigh). Probably no time until January, with all the other things in progress. May I still participate? Is there any way to re-post the months I've missed, short of (shudder) googling? Roberta in D

Hi Roberta, Here are the first few blocks, which I've copy pasted below. A please don't feel under pressure, letting me know your progress is for my benefit as much as anyone's so I know I'm not talking to myself... hmmmm actually that wouldn't be anything new real;) I also just thought that like myself, some folk like to be nudged, (well for me too a rather large boot somewhere would be better) but I appreciate not everyone does.

I'm so sorry Carole and anyone else trying to access the link. I'm a bit of a novice with blogs. I've had this blog space for a long time but haven't done anything much with it but since making a web page is mentally out of the question at the moment I thought I'd try using this space. However, I forgot to re-set it to public. I've done it now and everyone should be able to see my blog with the pattern on. If it's too hard please let me know, I'll try do a simpler one or can give help. The pieces are big and it's a bit folk arty so doesn't need to be perfect. I'll get there with a little help from my friend's here :D.

BTW that's a pic of me when I was 24 not as I am now. hee hee.

I'm glad you are stepping up to the plate! I'm also up to my .... in alligators right now, but I would like to have the links. I'm trying to get at least 3 redwork projects done by the first of December. I'm also trying to get a quilt cut out as a surprise for DH - difficult to do since we are both home all day.
