This is a general question to rctq so I don't upset anyone.
The rules for posting have changed a bit since my early days and I am new back to rctq so this is a precaution against offending anyone.
I am getting a lot of direct emails from the earlier post on software, as well as the response posts, but not everyone is sending the same info. Would anyone in the NG be upset if I posted a few standard questions for reply to me (not rctq posts) so I can get a list of who has what and who wants or is willing to give help? A bit like a block swap list but for software info I guess.
I don't want any more identification than is in rctq now so don't panic - I am not out to invade anyone's personal space! Any spam protection in email addresses will remain, and the list will only be emailed to those who choose to be on it.
Please let me know what you think. If anyone objects I can just email each response address individually - slower and clumsier but same end result. No sinister sub-plots. Just trying to get help for new software users and have a bit of fun with a virtual swap.
Let me know what you think - one objection and I will drop the idea
