Congratulations, Linda! What cuties! Are they identical or fraternal? Not important, really, except that I'm also a twin and am interested. ;)

They are identical...one has a little red spot on her nose, so we can tell them apart right now...then when it fades, we will have to paint their nails a different color, use different hats or whatever.

Congratulations. They're beautiful! Now, tell us about the baby quilt you made for them ... or did you make 2?

My DT and I are not only identical, but we're also mirror twins. That means I'm left-handed and she's right-handed, my dominant eye is on the left and hers is on the right, etc. She and I were "only" children, so when people used to ask us what it was like to be twins, we didn't know what to tell them. We had nothing to compare to! Unfortunately for me, my DT has lived in France (French DH -- very nice guy) for over 20 years now, so we don't get to see each other very often. But we email every day! :) Oh -- and we *don't* have twin names. ;)

Thanks, Linda! It's always interesting to me to find out these little details. ;) My parents knew which of us was which, since I had a small mole on one cheek -- they just looked for that.

Spike and Giles are not identical, but all my kids kind of look alike, so it was easy to mix them up. DH wanted to give Spike a tattoo just at the hairline, so he knew which one was her. He said when she got older, her hair would cover it up! I quickly vetoed the idea! Their first April Fool's Day, I did dress them in each other's outfits and fooled him pretty good! Didn't work the next year - they could say their names. :-)

Yes, welcome little ones and congratulations Grandma! I am a grandmother of twin granddaughters, age 3 years old. Oh, it is truly twice the work and twice the blessing! Hope you have as much fun with yours and I have had with mine.

With twins you get twice the fun and twice the hugs and cuddles...what a good deal! Happy dancing for you in WNY, Linda.
