guess who's expecting twins? OT

no - not me - my son and his wife recently went thru the in vitro fert process and both embryos implanted have discernable heart beats! I will, if all goes well, be a grandmother of 3 - and since he's our only son, and they don't plan on going thru the process again - there's no chance for more than 3. yippeeeeee. and...... the expected birthdate is on my birthday! They don't really think that the babies will wait to the due date, but ya never know.

If you pray - please pray for the safe development of my grandbabies, currently named Apple and Berry for babies a and b, and for Jen to be able to avoid bed rest as long as possible, perhaps even for the entire pregnancy.

Happy dancing for you. How very, very wonderful. Maybe not, but it seems to me that twins are usually early - so you'll want to get going on stitching wee little gowns, blankies and ! quilts. And everything has to be just alike but different - a concept you will understand by and by. Warm best wishes, Polly

Dancing in the moonlight for ya, Nonny! Dancing in the moonlight for ya, Nonny!

Oh wow, I do really hope this works out for them Musicmaker. Joyful news, tinged with worry. Hopefully as the weeks go by all will go peacefully and they can start to relax a bit. . In message , Musicmaker writes

Congratulations! That's wonderful news! :)

Congratulations! We have dear friends who tried for years and eventually did go the IVF route and had twins, they had a singleton 5 years later naturally, that took 13 years to hit the jackpot once! I also met another woman recently who has a 2 year old that was concieved naturally after a similar length of time! Not something to place your hope on, but, it seems to happen more often than you think.

Cheers Anne

Congratulations "Gramma-2-be"!!! Sending positive thoughts for a healthy pregnancy and a safe delivery ME-Judy

Congrats G-Ma!! My "A & B" are now almost 13! I just can't believe it - time goes so fast when you're exhausted! LOL! Please feel free to let DIL know that I can be contacted for twins related info. I used to send folks a little one page document about the time just before and just after the birth - planning, supplies, managing two, etc. If you/she would like a copy (kind of dated now, but still useful), please contact me off list. There is also a NG for twins/trips, but sometimes it gets filled with trolls (and sometimes sad news) so I stopped participating.

Again. Congrats!!!!
