One of Kelley's fellow Airmen, also a Staff Sarge, immediately offered to crochet her a receiving blanket. He's a GUY who crochets (*att'n: Dennis!!!) She told him how very much she appreciated the offer, but that she KNEW that I would be making all the baby things. He wasn't offended at all, totally understood, and went on to say, just as well, I'm a little behind in 'requests'... Kelley asked him if he planned to make anything for another Airman (AFC) they know, who's three months along, he said yes, he planned on it. Well, this airman first class they're referring to is all alone in Japan, as her hubby, also a 'lowly' AFC, is stationed in ALASKA... so Kelley told the fellow Sarge, look, make hers especially nice, whatever time you would've put into 'mine', put into hers.... she's going through her pregnancy all alone here, and they make less than Pokey and I do. He agreed, isn't that a cool little story??? Got ME to thinking, and Kelley thought *this* was cool... I offered to make booties for same gal. Hugs, Noreen
