Not only is it eye candy -- it also has terrific instructions for making those LS quilts! Jan Krentz is one of the most organized and informative teachers I've ever had. :)

Yes, I'm hoping even *I* can learn to make one successfully! Looks like a great book all around.
I purchased this book last year but never got around to making a quilt. I loaned the book out and the loanee swears it was returned... Not! Been waiting reorder with a second book to get free shipping. Any suggestions? I would love to get started on a LS, hand quilted. If anyone is interested, let me know. You out there Kathy?

AND she has a new book out on the Hunter Star pattern. I flipped through it at the retreat and it looked good.

Drat! It's not on her web site! :(
Try this:
go to
choose the box that says "new releases"
scroll towards the bottom of the page
There it is! Due to stores in September.
Yet another reason to hit the C&T retreat - you get to hear about all the new books and see some of them. Speaking of which, they are going to do one of patterns from the Earlene Fowler mystery books. I suspect it will be along the lines of the Elm Creek book where they do quilt patterns for the quilts mentioned in the series.

Thanks, Marcella! It was right where you said it would be. :) Another book I'm going to have to watch for....
