I make sure that "the little notch they carve into the spool" is on the bottom so that it doesn't catch the thread or cut that notch off.

I wonder what that says about me....but not too much. I know I'm weird, and I like it that way.

What's that line from "Batman Returns?" Selina Kyle: "It's the so-called "normal" guys that always let you down. Sickos never scare me. At least they're committed."

Sounds about right to me! ;)

My two favorite qualities in the whooooolllle wiiiiiiddde world! ;)

BTW, since I can't tell if you're being serious or not, I'll tell you that I'm *not* being serious. I don't think either one of you (me, though .. yes) is weird. Different? yep. Pleasantly and delightfully so? Yep. :)

But I'll tell you ... in my "circles" I'm weird for being a quilter (among other reasons) ... I don't fit the stereotype that my friends seem so desperate to believe. So I get teased a lot. :)

But then, I used to go to work in jammies simply because I could. At my old work, they were so ... obnoxious in assuming that because I was a graphic artist, that I *had* to be bohemian and eccentric ... so I proved 'em right ... sometimes I went in wearing men's jammies. They never said a word. It almost seemed to satisfy them ... as though they could be happy because they were right. Go figger.

I did wear business clothes/suits every other day. I'm not a total nut. :)

In my family, being a "geek," "weird," and a "sicko" are compliments. :)

When I was teaching public school, in a "rough" area of town I had something interesting happen. I was heading to pick up something in the Library when I met one of the jr high students. He said Hi and then "Ms Cook, I'm one of the "baddest" guys you know." I responded with "Not really" or something similar. He looked at me, said "you're weird" I thanked him and went on my way leaving him shaking his head. But he never gave me problems after that.
