yup, aint that the truth. the past two days i've spent the first five minutes 'blocking sender'. they seem to come out of the woodwork around xmas and new year. maybe the holidays just wake them up out of their little tiny minds. j.
"Sally Sw> Got a bit tired of soup recently though - and my filter box must be
What's that line from "Batman Returns?" Selina Kyle: "It's the so-called "normal" guys that always let you down. Sickos never scare me. At least they're committed."
alright now, Ms Connie, who you call'n sickos? gotta watch this one, Jenn. i think shes got sumpun going on down in florida we westcoasters dont understand. :)) j.
My two favorite qualities in the whooooolllle wiiiiiiddde world! ;)
BTW, since I can't tell if you're being serious or not, I'll tell you that I'm *not* being serious. I don't think either one of you (me, though .. yes) is weird. Different? yep. Pleasantly and delightfully so? Yep. :)
But I'll tell you ... in my "circles" I'm weird for being a quilter (among other reasons) ... I don't fit the stereotype that my friends seem so desperate to believe. So I get teased a lot. :)
But then, I used to go to work in jammies simply because I could. At my old work, they were so ... obnoxious in assuming that because I was a graphic artist, that I *had* to be bohemian and eccentric ... so I proved 'em right ... sometimes I went in wearing men's jammies. They never said a word. It almost seemed to satisfy them ... as though they could be happy because they were right. Go figger.
I did wear business clothes/suits every other day. I'm not a total nut. :)
In my family, being a "geek," "weird," and a "sicko" are compliments. :)
When I was teaching public school, in a "rough" area of town I had something interesting happen. I was heading to pick up something in the Library when I met one of the jr high students. He said Hi and then "Ms Cook, I'm one of the "baddest" guys you know." I responded with "Not really" or something similar. He looked at me, said "you're weird" I thanked him and went on my way leaving him shaking his head. But he never gave me problems after that.
Pati, > I wonder what that says about me....but not too much. I know I'm weird, and
see the :)) :) is a smile, :/ is a smirk, :)) is a laugh. not serious, whats the point in getting all serious here. i mean really. whats it gonna do for me to get all serious. lost in her nightie at the puter in the south pacific, j.
Yeesh ... I thought the :/ meant "shucks" or "go figger" or something like that ... I've been using it wrong!!
Anywho ... I didn't know that about the :)) - silly me, I thought (not kidding) it meant like double chins or something!! I was about ask you how you knew! :) (went crazy with the gingerbread men at Christmas)
Sitting in a pile of laundry in Florida .... ;) (good hiding spot!!)
