Shameless Self Promotion - Quilt Show

If you live in the San Francisco Bay area, my guild is having their quilt show this weekend.

It's a pretty big show - I forget how many quilts we have this year, but it's a lot. And we have about 25 vendors. We are in Danville & all the info you should need is on our website.

This same weekend, Quilting in the Garden is in Livermore.

This is the show that Alex Anderson has been involved with for many years. She is still involved, but to a lesser degree now. If you have never been to Quilting in the Garden, it's in a beautiful setting. You can cover both shows on one day - or make a weekend of it & do some wine tasting in the Livermore Valley too. There are LOTS of new wineries out there now.

I hope the weather cools down a little, especially for Quilting in the Garden. Their doors open at 9:00, so if it's still hot, try to get there at

  1. Our show is indoors & will be air conditioned. We have plenty of free parking.

I wish I could be there. I grew up in Livermore. I have been to that quilt show once. I was supposed to go to the quilt show in Philadelphia last weekend and to visit my aunt in New Holland, but my travelling companion got sick and we cancelled our trip. I'm still considering going to Santa Clara, Houston or Tucson for my one big show this year, but not too seriously. We have a granddaughter due next month here.

How long has it been since you were in Livermore? I bet it has changed a lot -when I first started going to Livermore, there were a handful of wineries there - now there are 40 wineries there!

Hard to believe, huh? I'm not familiar with the Tucson show - is that put on by a Guild? I try to get to Santa Clara every year - it's so close, but I've missed it a few times. Houston - I've only been one time - the weather was stupendous - I understand we were very luck with the good weather. It is HUGE! I think Paducah is my favorite of all the big shows I've been to - I just like the town, although, I really enjoyed Houston & we did a little touring around while we were there.
