Small happy dance!

Yesterday we measured for new flooring/carpeting for my studio. Once I get that I'll be able to move back in!

More than ready! I really can't wait even though it will take weeks to sort through and get rid of stuff.

What did you do to keep the flooding from happening again? Did you have to build something slightly smaller than Hoover Dam or get a pump with its own substation? Polly

That is a sore spot with me. I wanted to do something, but David is convinced it won't happen again.

Having learned my lesson absolutely nothing will be left on the floor going forward.

Supposedly in the spring we'll install a new backflow preventer.

In the meantime, since the problem is really not our line, but the city's old, undersized, completely gunked up lines, I'm hoping the city will magically find the money to deal with the problems.
