Small happy dance

For what ever reason, most likely because I needed my big Q-Snaps, I took Everybody's Nook off and carefully folded in to a drawer, I thought with the chart and charms. Well, about a month ago, I said, "self, it's time to finish that up and get it stretched."

I get it out, fabric, floss, no chart, no charms. SOB!

Yesterday, while fishing a pair of socks out from under a chair in the "loft" area, I found the envelope with the charms, chart and more of the floss.

HURRAH.

Monday, I am so going to finish the back stitching and either pin stretch it my self or pay some one to do it.

Oh, thank goodness you found them! I say it's a SUPER happy dance! Would you have gone out and replaced them? Kim

Good for you. It's always something like that. I found a tiny tea-bag charm, that I bought a few years ago to go with an irrestible little tea pattern. In the move, I found this charm - in all places - packed with kitchen stuff - so it's been sitting on a counter. Last week, as I went thru stash - I finally found the chart again - which of course went missing in the move - as after 2 years of chart, no charm, then charm, no chart.

Enjoy. I find stretching needlework sort of boringly cathartic. Or something. But, then, I used to get paid to do it. And still get the framer to order for me the pins she uses (not regular ones, specialty escutcheon pins).

I know Jennifer would have redone the name chart she had done for me. What would have hurt was the buttons. I have already decided to use some different ones and had about 8 alternates, in the bag. I'd have replaced them eventually.
