So *WHAT* did Frank get Brenda?

Did he ever tell us what he finally decided to buy for his Brenda for a Christmas gift? Inquiring minds (make that nosy people!) want to know!

Oh my gosh, Frank! What a terrible thing to have to suffer. I will pray that you heal quickly and that the surgery was a complete success.

Sorry about the lack of response to your request for gift ideas. But it seems your phenomenal gifts to Brenda may have passed the limits of our imaginations! Every thing we drool over and wish for ourselves, well, Brenda received them long ago! We get a kick out of living and quilting vicariously thru her dreamy studio! You are a wonderful, generous husband and Brenda is one lucky gal.

Thanks for sharing!

Didn't get a lot of responses from the request, so didn't post a reply. What I did get her was a floorplan for the custom shelving, sliding design wall (8X20), two sewing stations (one for the daughter's Viking and one for her Bernina with the BSR), and custom cutting table I'm putting in her 1400 square foot sewing room in the new house I'm building for her. Additionally, there will be a quilting computer with her quiliting programs, pictures and a complete index of her quilting books. Added in, is an old washer for felting and temp controlled quilt storage. As for things under the tree... she got a Tigger coffee mug. Things are a bit slow on the build front right now. I'm still in the hospital where they just did emergency surgery to remove 12" of a perforated colon over the weekend. At least now, when someone tells me I'm full of it, I can honestly say that may be so, but less than I previously was. Frank Reid

Good wishes for a good recovery, Frank. What a rotten shame for that to happen just after Christmas. How's Brenda as a nurse? Sorry not to have responded - I didn't have any great ideas. Sorry to let you down! Take care now. . In message , Frank Reid writes

Yikes, Frank! I hope you're feeling better *very* soon! As for what you got Brenda, it's fabulous, as usual. Gosh, her sewing room is almost as big as my entire house. LOL!

Owwie Frank! Hope you're back up and running soon! IMO Brenda will shortly live in Quilt Paradise and need no more gifts at all -what more could any quilter possibly want, except maybe a fabric truck that made house calls? Roberta in D

At Kathyl's house, that weekend you were at the big quilt show. Kay heard him coming (clip-clop) and we all ran out to see what was going on, and there he was, the Fabric Wagon man.

Great pictures! I'm so glad the group could get together that day. I swept out the soddy and made some lemonade after the fabric wagon man left. A good time was had by all.

Sandy, you always make me laugh! Exactly what I had in mind, except he'd need to lose the brooms. Roberta in D

And now that I realize those black glasses are just too much contrast, I'll get some new ones after my eye appointment today. And of course I 'm stopping by the quilt shop rather than waiting for that guy to get here again!

Oh, but we must have the brooms; some of us need to get home quickly.

R/Sandy-- quilting away in lovely north Texas where the temps are rising and the sun is coming back tomorrow...
