Still no baby!

Well, now we know she'll be a Leo (group exhale) but we still don't know when she'll make her appearance. I just finished her coming home blankie and will wash her outfit tomorrow. My DD's birthday is on Monday but we will celebrate at a special dinner on Sunday so all could attend. I still think she'll have the baby on her birthday but it won't be a castastrophe if she doesn't.

I have been working long hours at the office to make sure everything is caught up and on time so I can take some time off when the call comes. this weekend my sister (part of team that helped when DD had my grandson) will be

3 hours away visiting friends in Baltimore. My husband will be fishing on Barnegat Bay tomorrow which is an easy 1.5 hour drive after he gets the boat back on the trailer. I'm not leaving the house. What are the chances...........

Thanks for all of your good wishes and kind words. My 5 year old grandson's take on this whole "new baby" thing? He's just happy to have a friend to play with that doesn't leave! Gotta love this little guy!

Folks around here cook some strange things including road kill but I have never seen anyone barbeque a Mongolian. Please tell me you're kidding. Polly

"Debbi in So CA" Go out to a Mongolian BBQ. The doc told me I had at least 2-3 weeks

Mongolian BBQ is a buffet of sorts. Did you ever go to an Omelet Station at a brunch? Those are the ones that have assorted 'fillings' ready to scoop onto your plate, ready for the Chef to add to your custom omelet. Well, the Mongolian BBQ is similar. Select assorted veg and meat and such, then hand off to the Chef to grill for you, adding your choice of seasoning too. I hope I got that right. It has been a while since I was at one. Word to the wise: you pay by weight of the raw components. It can get pricey if you get too carried away. PAT

The oldest in our family, my big sister, FINALLY became a gramma today! It is also my mom's bday. All the rest of us sibs are already grammas and grandpa's...and now the oldest. She's suppose to send pictures etc....all I know is that she's a girl named McKinsey Jean....not sure of the spelling even.

I pray my sister truly realizes the joy of being a grandma. She gets depressed so I'm truly hoping her eyes are opened with this new grandbaby.

Ours are one price for whatever you want. It has nothing to do with the weight of anything. You can have all meat, all vegs., or everything, plus oils and spices. The rice, etc. is on your table. I love these places. It's either Royal Caribbean or Carnival that has one on it's newest ship. Gen

That's good to know, so thanks to Gen and KJ. I will have to check out the new Mon. BBQ place in next town about the prices. (My experience had been at a club function.) PAT

If I've learnt one thing from my time around baby related things, it's that babies rarely come when you expect them, or the size you expect them! Some friends adopted very recently, as the birth mum was a 15 year old, they were told the baby would be early and small, well he showed up at 39 weeks and was in the high 7lbs.

No one expected my first baby to be so small, 5lb13oz, nor my 2nd so big, 8lb8oz, only my 3rd was the expected size at 7lb4oz, but she was also the one that ended up in the NICU, so it never really goes how you expect!
