Thank you Leslie and Polly

My quilt top is completed with mitered borders with the stripes matching perfectly. I used the technique Leslie gave with the glue stick Polly suggested and it worked out just right. Now I must find the correct backing, I tried to get some of the Apple Butter fabric but they didn't have enough of the one I chose. I guess I just have to go shopping ;-)...........

Honored and delighted to have helped - and if you used the Elmer's School Glue stick, it's okay to eat it. Just thought you'd want to know. Polly

Congrads on completing the top. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures. Wow, you HAVE to go shopping for fabric? That's rough, if you need any help, let me know. I just need your credit card! lol ;o) Have fun!

How many calories does it contain - doc just told me I have to start watching my diet (may need knee replacement before to long). He wants me slender ;-)

Howdy!

Yesterday I bought some of the new Dick&Jane fabric (the legal version, authorized for production and sale ); as the nice lady (shop owner ) opened the bolt and spread out the fabric we both smiled, then cheered over the bright colors and oh-so-accurate pictures of Dick & Jane and Sally and Spot-- and then I smelled it-- paste, school glue, peanut butter sandwiches eaten at my desk on a cold, rainy day in the 1st grade, one-room schoolhouse.

Polly says we can eat the glue stick; well, hasn't hurt us so far.
