The Art of Quilting

I've been watching a show this morning, a fund raiser for my local PBS station, called "The Art of Quilting". If you get the opportunity to see it, please, please do!! It has some of the most amazing quilts I've ever seen, and some really fascinating techniques. Nothing very traditional - but some incredible art quilts.

Aaaaarrrrggghhhh! I knew it was on, even set the VCR, but then I forgot to turn off the VCR so it would auto-record!!! That's the second time this week I've done that! Luckily it is on again Wednesday.

Thanks for the nudge!

Just found out it is available on DVD at Amazon.com. I had to read about different formats since the first Google results sent me to the Canadian Amazon site. I had no idea there are different DVD formats.

Yep - normally we Aussies cannot play DVDs produced for overseas markets and vice versa. (I think there are about 4 or 5 "zones", supposedly to help cut down the pirate DVD traffic) But the DVD player manufacturers have an "unlock code" that will make most players capable of reading any DVD. For most manufacturers it is buried on their web sites (usually hard to find) but when I couldn't find mine I just asked the retailer to dig it up for me. I often buy DVDs through Amazon that I cannot source in OZ so I will take a look.

Thanks

Thats interesting Cheryl I never knew that ( about the 'unlock code' that is).

I have just seen on ebay that DVD thta can be played here ( and NZ) have to be Region 4. I think some are also listed as multi region.

I had no idea that DVD's were different in different parts of the world! Who knew? Cheryl, if you can get a copy, it's really worth it. The quilts were so beautiful, and so inspiring! Your students would love it! By the way, did anyone make a treasure box yet?
