Think Happy thoughts!

Our kiri goes to get the cenobite lego thing off her arm today. Removal of an external fixator plus the bone pins should be fairly simple, but thay will use general anesthesia. I hope the anesthesia does not make her too awful cranky!

How time flies when you're having fun, or not... Poor Kiri! But she will surely be glad to have her arm back. Roberta in D

Indeed she will. When they took the fixator off they put a light cast on. They want to make sure the end of the bone gets healed up good and solid, but her body was starting to reject the pins and screws and things. They didn't say how long it has to stay on.

Her doctor is a man of few words. When he fist saw her the nurse asked how she felt, kiri responded, "It hurts!", the doctor said "Bet". That was darn near all he said the whole visit. When our pediatrician finished going "owie owie owie!" after seeing her rig, she asked kiri who her doctor was. When she found out the first thing she said was to ask "Does he talk?"

I hope she heals well and has that cast off soon.
