This afternoon, was: please pray for my little guy

OK, so they did the flu test and how about that...he has the flu. He isn't on Straterra because of the potential for liver damage, so it's definitely medicine induced.

He hates the taste of the TamiFlu, so I just held his head still and poured it in. Because he's off the ADHD meds, he's all over the place today with his focus and listening, etc.

However, in the last 48 hours, he's been coughing all over the house without covering his mouth, and today when I had him trying to nap with me, he decided to exhale in my face...grrrrr

I'm pretty much ready to just stick him in the hospital so that they can deal with forcing medicines on him and I can get some sleep.

Add to everything else, and for some reason, our phones are completely dead...no dial tone, nothing. Ken checked the outside box and it isn't getting any power, so it's not in the phones. However, after trying 3 times, we finally got through to our provider and they said it wouldn't be until Tuesday that they could send someone out to check things - unless it turned out to be an area outage....but we checked with neighbors, 1 doesn't have a land line, and one has phone service...argh. Everything is being forwarded to my cell phone, so let's hope I can still get a signal in the house

Larisa, if hospitalization for your son is an option (I have no idea what it would do to you financially based on differing insurance plans) it might be the best idea. You would get rest and maybe stave off the flu and he would get the care he needs without wearing you down to a nubbin. Just a thought.
