triple happy dance

I put the last stitch in the label of the third quilt this morning. They're going to two brothers and their sister so they really needed to be done at the same time. I'm glad they're out of here!!

Well done, there, Ms P! Dancing in the moonlight for ya! Is this for merry, merry Christmas or happy, happy birthday, or just because?

They're just because. I learned a long time ago not to drive myself nuts trying to get a quilt done for an occasion!!

I love scrap quilts!! You're free to put stuff that clashes together if you want.

They are so bright and cheerful. Very lucky recipients! I must start making scrap blocks with all my spare strips I have collected!

Good for you. I sometimes make things, and my husband says, "Who is it for?" I tell I'll know by the time I get it made. grin

You are so right. If you put together enough different fabrics, they don't seem to clash anymore. Our Roberta Z is the Queen of the Scrap Basket here; she also does lovely work with scraps. BTW, I don't think I've officially welcomed you, so here goes. WELCOME Ms. P!! The only rule you really need to know: Send a pound or two of chocolate to the Official Chocolate Tasting Office, conveniently located here in my Palace in Virginia, USA. I will taste test if for you and report via E-Mail. No need to thank me! It is my selfless volunteer service to the RCTQ Community.

Thanks for the welcome. I've been lurking for a number of years with a couple of different ids. I had to make SOMETHING up when I signed up with news.individual.net and chose the character from Clue. The granddaughters always get to be Ms Scarlet because she plays first. And I am not Mrs White. LOL

I think I shall be Queen of Scissors.

A lot of my quilts are done that way. I make quilts because I want to, sometimes with a specific person in mind other times just because.

I've been trying to use my fab stash and want to make a runner for the holidays...wouldn't you know that the greens I have don't "match" each other ..the reds seem to clash, etc. and I have so much of this stuff and am thinking that I need to buy more...just exactly what I don't want to do. Guess I'll take another look and remember that more can be better ! Thanks ! Mary

I LOVE THAT! Hey everybody, we have a Queen of Scissors! Hail to the new Queen! You should start a new thread and introduce yourself with your new title. They'll love it! : )
