UPDATE: OT: thoughts for me, prayers for friend

In case anyone wondered, I survived vbs lol barely, but I made it thru.

and I just now got a note from my friend who was having the dbl mastectomy

***************

Great News came today! Pathology showed that they got all the cancer and that it had not traveled to the lymph nodes! So that means that no chemo and no radiation! Yahoo!

I meet with the oncologist tomorrow morning and then we get to map out our next couple of years of monitoring things!

I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends - Thank you! -L

******************************************

and another friend from Scouts had a good report on his cancer/tumor removal from his brain. They got 80% out which is what they predicted as best case scenario, so they feel they can get the rest with radiation and chemo. I guess it pays to live in Houston if the big C hits you.... and Thank you all again for all your good thoughts and prayers! I know they helped a lot!

now I am off to see what i can throw together as far as handwork for our trip to IL/MO later this week...

Thank you so much, Kellie, for reporting back; especially about your friend facing the dbl. Praise God. How very wonderful. She's got a tough recovery time ahead of her and possibly some repair work but still such good, good news. Tell her that we're sharing her joy. Polly

Kellie, Wonderful news about the clear margins and no positive lymph nodes on your friend. If she ever complains of any bone pain please make her get to her doctor to get a bone scan. Will she have reconstruction? As everybody knows my breast cancer had spread to my femur bone in less than 2 years. Pami
