Update on me

Thank you all for all of your prayers, healing thoughts and positive vibes....they are working.

We got the results of the MRI (with dye contrast) and the tumor does not seem to have spread (thank God). It is also very small (thank God)....so small that they could not measure it with the MRI...the doctor said they probably took out most of it when they did the biopsy. This is the best news I could receive under the circumstances (second to "we made a mistake and you really don't have cancer..."!)

I have surgery scheduled for next Friday to have the tumor removed and they will take some lymph nodes for pathology testing to verify it hasn't spread. There are so many decisions to make still, and paperwork to fill out. It's hard to concentrate at work to say the least...my mind is running overtime and by the time I get home I am too tired to do anything, even sew.

Yes, I did enjoy the weekend emensely - it was great to get away with DH and visit my brother and his family. I love road trips.

Gosh Irene, except for the fact that your biopsy was positive, all the subsequent news has been very good. Wonderful, wonderful news! I know you still have to go through the process and that there will be decisions to be made a long the way, but try not to wear yourself out. (Okay, so I can give you this advice, although I'd probably be lousy at taking it myself!)

When you get home from work, make yourself a nice cup of tea, hot chocolate, whatever you prefer, put your feet up, and find something silly to watch on TV. Total relaxation.

Hang in there, Gal, and keep those good reports coming!
