Warm Wishes

I have been saving charm squares and jelly rolls for making the Warm Wishes quilt. However, since the jelly rolls are 2 1/2" and the charms are 5" I will have to do some cutting. I thought I could do 2 - 2 1/2" strips together instead of 3, but can't picture how that would work.

Any ideas on doing it without wasting a lot of material?

Just get a piece of paper and draw it out. It's quite difficult to picture how the three framing strips will work - in your mind. I usually find visualising very easy (I know I am very lucky), but I had to draw out Warm Wishes. I needed to work with what I had, also. It worked well in the end. . In message , Boca Jan writes

You could use the jelly roll strips for the centre of the stripe and look for 2other coordinating fabrics to work with your collection to make the 3way stripes. Make the centre strip of the 2.5" instead of

3" and the 2 outside strips - cut to 1.75" for a finished 5" stripe and then cut the squares as per the pattern directions. Adjust the number of sets as required. jennellh (@gmail.com)
