What are the categories for quilts in a quilt show?

We are planning a quilt show during our local county fair, wondering how to do this, what all we need to do.

I would suggest you find a guild in your area that sponsors a quilt show and try to sit down with a couple of their members that serve on the committee. There is a lot to do. Things to consider are:

Where you are having it? How will you pay for the space if you need to? How will you display the quilts? How will you solicit the quilts to display? How will you keep track of the quilts and keep them safe? How will you advertise your show? Do you want hang tags? How to collect the information? Will you sell tickets? Who will print them? Where will you get your volunteers? for setup? for take down? for during the show?

We are hosting our 3rd show on August 3. It's amazing how many details there are to consider.

Good luck! Have fun!

This is what a committee came up with in our guild for the October 2013 quilt show. I didn't belong to the guild at the last show in 2011.
