Our guild is having Cara Gulati from California travelling over to Australia just for our tour we are organising for her, in August. She will be doing 5 workshops from Queensland all the way to Tasmania in the south. Has anyone done any of her workshops? It sounds fun with 3-D look piecing in swirls. She has a couple of books out I think on the subject. The only down-side has been her requirement for hotel accomm. rather than some billeting with quilters, which has raised associated costs. The international airfare has been funded from our Inter'l Tutor Trust (in the memory of a past member quilter) but there are still alot of other costs such as domestic airfares, accomm., meals, her class cost etc. Looking forward to the workshop, ours will be the last week in Aug.
