YARDAGE CALCULATOR, you have to check this one out!!!

Wow...I did a quick search and came up with this site. I am amazed. I wish I would have found this site a while back. It looks like it only comes up with one yardage for one colour, ie for HST's I threw in a block size and the quantity and it came up with 1.5 yards. I guess you would buy 3/4 yard of each colour.

But it's better than guessing blind.

Oh, and the best part.....it tells you how many strips to cut and what size...then, you can print the calculations.

Neat! I told it I wanted 100 HST's and it gave me yardage for 100 triange pieces, not 100 completed squares. I'd need twice what it said, one length of each color.

Oops...that's what happens when I only look and pictures and don't read the fine print . I was so excited at just finding this site that I wanted to post it before I read it properly.

Thanks for sharing this site! Sure beats using the pencil and paper for a quick estimate.

I downloaded it to my desktop, but this takes all the fun out of buying fabric. Without knowing exactly or close to how much you need, you *must* buy more than enough.
